I would have normally purchased gemstones from an offline jewellery store, but the stores' sales personnel could not show me something to my satisfaction; subsequent to which I began my online quest.
After much due diligence, checking out various online stores, even Amazon.in, my instinct guided me to GemPundit. They have an array of gemstones on display for sale, one for everyone's like and budget.
Finally, I ordered a yellow sapphire set in an eighteen carat gold ring and a red coral set in a silver ring; very well assisted by Akhilesh Kumar and Nupur Chaurasia. I got what I ordered, am very satisfied and will not hesitate to purchase from GemPundit again.
Edit: Finish quality of both the rings was to my satisfaction.

I am utterly disappointed with the service provided on my third purchase. E-mails, apart from the automated e-mail response which provides the service ticket reference number, were not responded to. Even my calls for e-mail responses did not bear fruit. Is the operations' team fully functional?
I had to make multiple requests for the photograph and video of the completed product to be sent; unfortunately they were sent "after the Prana Partishta pooja was done". I requested that the Prana Pratishta pooja be redone as the gemstone jewellery was handled for the photography and video filming. To credit the staff, they sent the video of the pooja. Bezel finish also wasn't to my satisfaction; no remedial action even after bringing the same to the attention of customer service. Besides there were fine scratches on both sides of the ring. I will not mention names of the two "customer service executives" here, as I do not want to embarrass them.
Are repeat customers taken for granted?
I was told Akhilesh left the organisation; this could be the reason for deterioration in service.
Rating downgraded from five stars to three stars due to poor customer service and unsatisfactory finish on the silver ring on my third order.
You guys sell good quality gemstones; please step up on your customer service, quality assurance / control on jewellery and don't take your repeat customers for granted, as I may return for more purchases.
