Not for the faint hearted the CERN visitor centre ...

Not for the faint hearted the CERN visitor centre and tour is pretty hard core science. (The tour needs to be booked and that can only be done 15 days in advance).

Well the point of the place is particle physics, proving the Higgs Boson exists! I took my sons who are budding teenage physicists, needless to say they loved it. I enjoyed the history of the place and the international cooperation but was impressed/amazed by the scale and the logistical challenges.
