The kind of bookstore every neighborhood should have. People these days shop around for the lowest price on books as if they spend as much on books as they do on food and as if they'd starve without books. For a place like this, I have no objection to going in and paying full price for a hardback. Don't get me wrong, though, they do have good deals. If you spend a certain amount per year there is a free discount plan you can tap into. Also, I gave them my email address and the only email I've gotten from them is one telling me I can get a substantial discount on one item during the month my birthday is in. When you consider how many hours it'll take you to read a book, even full-price books are a bargain. Main Point Books also has very comfortable seats to sit in if you feel like sampling a chapter and a very knowledgeable staff.
If you don't know Wayne, it's a destination worth visiting in its own right. Lots of good restaurants and, if you're not up for a full meal, Gryphon Coffee is as good a coffee shop as you'll find anywhere. Also the Anthony Wayne Movie Theater features first-run movies. This is all within easy walking distance from SEPTA's Wayne Train Station, which has a platform level with the train for those who may require that, as do I. Go to the upper parking lots if you want to park for hours. Park free after six and on Sundays.
