Made the unfortunate decision to go to Morty's Pub...

Made the unfortunate decision to go to Morty's Pub for my birthday. Our waitress Nikki started the evening off by bringing the wrong beer, arguing with me that she brought the right one, and my entire group saying they all heard me order the correct beer. She rolled her eyes and brought the correct beer. Sadly the food didnt make up for it. The battered mushrooms were dripping with grease, the person in our party that loved mushrooms couldn't finish 2. And my main course came overcooked and chewy, again, couldn't stand more than a couple bites. I ordered some of the special wings they had (maple something or other for canada day) and for a place apparently known for their wings it was pretty sad. It was just a couple pale, small-medium wings with some watery vaguely maple flavoured sauce on a plate. Came warm, not hot, edible but I wouldn't get them again.

While we were eating, we could hear our waitress Nikki berating a family a couple of booths away from us for not giving her a big enough tip, loudly embarrassing them to everyone around us.

Nikki did however get the manager when we told her the food was sub-par. The manager did not charge us for the food items we didn't eat which is good.

BUT when we went to pay I asked Nikki if there were any good food places still open at the time, because much of my party didnt eat anything, and I had a small plate of wings. She rolled her eyes and acted as though she didn't hear us.

I always tip in cash so I know the waiter/waitress/bartender gets it and it isnt taken or split by the establishment, but when Nikki saw I didn't tip via Debit she berated us loudly like she did the other family. I stopped her midway through her speech (which sounds like shes said it quite a few times) and told her I usually tip in cash, and the bill in my hand was for her.

I told her she was rude the entire time we were there and wouldn't be back as long as she was there. Slipped the $10 back in my pocket and we left.
