Quiet location. We stayed here in the summer of 2016 and had a good experience. The concierge was not overly busy, so he was quite helpful on the several occasions we consulted him. The building is a gorgeous mansion, redecorated in a somewhat noisy style blending traditional and contemporary elements. A quiet garden for dining when the weather is nice.

Surprising, magical, breathtaking, wonderful, daring. There are not enough words to describe this house as it is unique; every room signed by Bambi Sloan impresses with grandeur and discovery. Like a flying dream that comes to life.

Excellent hotel. Efficient staff, courteous and well prepared. Excellent location. Free parking in the inner gardens. Huge room (a junior suite obtained with a free upgrade) with a rather showy but appreciable decor. I liked it and could go back again.

Home refined and quality, an exceptional place to discover.

I went to many hotels but this was the worst. This hotel has the works employees. The employees steal your items especially with huge luggage. They literally stole $400 of of my apple watch from my carry-on and the people there say they have not seen it even though I LEFT IT THERE! WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT GO HERE!!! And the food here is terrible. i LITERALLY HAD BLOOD IN MY POOP AFTER EATING HERE AND THE POOL IS DISGUSTING. DON'T COME HERE!!!!

Beautiful hotel in center of city - old style luxury.

Great service by staff. Terrible wifi. Rooms are quite quirky with AC, TV, Door locks difficult to work. Extremely old decor much like living on a Hollywood set from Napoleon's days. Expensive for what you receive.

The best hotel IMHO. Private. Quiet. Amazing people. Great bar. Excellent and sometimes whimsical rooms. Perfect.

Uniquely special accommodations! When we got to Paris all we wanted to do was snuggle and relax. Since we had been to the City of Lights before. As it turned out: Great place to chill. Our room was huge, bed was very comfortable and room service was good. They told me there is an amazing restaurant in the hotel but...

A visual slap and taste! Perfection in its most beautiful setting! High quality service in this exceptional setting and the cuisine is extraordinary! I can not believe that there is only one star in the Michelin Guide because you deserve a second! Congratulations and thank you

We had a lovely time at this hotel. The staff were welcoming and attentive and made our first visit to Paris very easy. We especially enjoyed our Dinner at the restaurant and were very happy with their recommendations for the wines. Our junior suite was amazing and fun to stay in as the decor lent itself to the early history of the area as a balloon airfield. To get the best from this chateaux style hotel, just ask the staff! Their english is very good and they made us ferl special.

The Saint James is a delightful upscale but small hotel in the 16th, close to Port Dauphine metro and a short walk to Arc de Triump and Champs El. It is quite and a very nice/safe neighborhood. The hotel is an 19th century chateaux that has been updated with a modern yet classic interior. Dual zebra heads adorn the fireplace, and leopard print is used extensively throughout. It is chic but still harkens back to its heyday, very well done.

The concierge and his staff are incredible. They helped us every day with every weird request we had. They worked to get us difficult reservations and do so with a smile and proud sense of service.

They upgrade our room without us having to ask and we were delighted to stay in a junior suite on the top floor. Decor was again perfect, not overly sterile, but warm eclectic and totally us.

The library bar and adjacent dining room are exquisite and a lot of fun to hang out in. Drinks are stiff at upwards of 20 euros but you're there for the ambiance and to hob nob, so...

They're "backyard" is a terrace area off the dining room which boasts three large "hot air balloon" canopies that provide romantic/magical cover while you sip your champagne. Leopard print tastefully applied here too.

My minor nits are:
- The cleaning staff did an OK job, but it wasn't stellar. I've stayed at similarly priced hotels and the service seems more attentive and thorough.
- The bed was not comfortable. I wish it wasn't the case having paid quite so much to stay at a luxury hotel, and if anything this is something Saint James should remedy. I could feel the springs in my back all night long.

If I could give a 4.5 review, I would instead of a 5.0, but I'll round up simply because the concierge was so perfect and the decor so matching to our tastes.

Hotel old and worn, price not justified, only location ok

One of the most beautiful hotels in Paris. In a discreet place. The decor is fabulous. The team is excellent. The gardens are very nice especially for a drink or dinner.

Very impressive place! A private mansion with green spaces and a 360-degree garden without any opposite in the heart of Paris!
On the other hand, we would be happy to change the imitation floor carpet in the large dining room ;-)

Absolutely the best hotel with the most friendly staff in Paris

We had planned to spend a pleasant family evening at the bar of Saint James. Having noted that it was not possible to book, we showed up 5 minutes after opening to hear that the bar was full. A little surprised by this answer but above all very disappointed ... we will not retry the experience.

Restaurant at the top. Magic place.

if there will be 0 stars I will put 0 bridal suite to 5m2 the guy tells me he does not care about me so I wanted a room to turn and he hangs me at the nose

Love the bar with amazing bar staff.
The rooms are so quirky and fun.
This a high end hotel offering high end service and for the most part it didn't disappoint.
The only issue we had was when leaving the concierge did not put the right bags in the cab. Luckily we were going to meetings in Paris but it could have turned out horribly wrong if we were heading to the airport.

Excellent choice if you are looking for a small, friendly, spacious hotel in Paris with a great location.
My favorite by far, good if your on a business trip, great if your with your wife and family. The staff is very helpful, rooms are great, quiet, beds comfortable and the water pressure is great for Paris.

My 2nd time at St James was for my 60th birthday in March. Seems a long time ago now with family and friends. The team, the food were simply fabulous. Can t wait to gone back

Unique is beautiful setting, beautiful room very comfortable, garden and lounge bar very cozy cocktails are delicious.

There is a Korean staff, so I feel comfortable asking, trying on, and buying. If you like St. James, I recommend shopping!

Stunning Hotel with too notch, professional staff. The library bar is beautiful and the restaurant is delightful. The rooms are unique and charmingly furnished. The building is stately and unique even in Paris where there's no shortage of impressive structures.

3 stars hotel for the price of 5. terrible service, rooms do not look like the pictures. Our honeymoon was a total disappointment due to this failed hotel.

A break in the summer at the Bar St James to forget the violence of the city in this ecrin of greenery.
We came for a cocktail in this 5 * palace. after discussion with the desk we are allowed to go to the garden exceptionally outside the hours for non members. And in the garden it is only pleasure, sweetness, services and kindness. a nickel service, everyone is attentive to your every request ... We take a Mojito, the best Mojito I have ever drunk, the atmosphere and the setting we can do a lot. Thank you for all the team of St James for having taste with your fingertips the spirit Palace. date July 2016

My husband and I stayed at Saint James for three nights during our stay in Paris last September. The moment we arrived we were stunned by the beautiful entrance already! We booked the studio room very last minute but got happily upgraded to the deluxe room on the 1/F. The room was really spacious, clean, modern and just super lovely!...

One of the best hotels in Paris. Exquisite in every way. The architecture and its decoration are a plus. We were at Christmas and it was beautiful. Peaceful hotel where peace is breathed. The service is impeccable. The rooms are cozy, they do not lack detail. Highly recommended

This is the most amazing hotel. It s set in a chateau in the heart of Paris. Every room is beautiful and unique. Book the gatehouse if it s available, you will not be disappointed. The service is spectacular and extremely personal due to size of the hotel. A definite must see in Paris.

A sublime hotel, neoclassical style so British. The restaurant, lined with sumptuous paintings of another time, seems straight out of the decorations of Downton Abbey. The dishes, at the height of the place, are succulent and refined. The service as for him has nothing to envy to the greatest Parisian palaces. English chic in the heart of Paris!

Very good service, from reception to catering.
The restaurant is very beautifully decorated and the bed is very comfortable.
The only drawback is that it is far from the subway and the station.

Especially good are the courtyard and the bar. In the quiet afternoon patio, we had a relaxing time with a glass of wine.

Dinner is also served in the courtyard, but the service food is excellent and I have had the best time to remember Paris.

After dinner, take a break in the library-style bar. The calm atmosphere and courteous service explained the recommended wines carefully.

The doorman also showed me a memorable service. He asked me to call me a taxi, and told me that I will ask the driver carefully because I am an important customer when I got on, and I was impressed by the concern and the feeling for the service.

The service, the food, the courtyard, the buildings and the decor, everything is really nice and next time I will go to Paris to enjoy this hotel.

Very nice place, the original decoration creates an atmosphere out of time, between offbeat modernity and classicism steeped in history, a bit like in a Scottish mansion, or can be exotic ...? It's pretty indescribable, I loved it in any case.
The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is in a beautiful and quiet setting, the food is delicious. A great surprise.

I was invited by a friend who is also a member of the St James Club in London, yes it was home from home, a wonderful place to be, first class service, easy access, manicured gardens, quite and descrite service.

Really very high quality welcome and service, wines and cocktails at the famous Bar Library, excellent cuisine at the starred restaurant. Terrace and "hot air balloons" very important (to celebrate the birthdays of large families), unique in Paris, Spring, Summer and Autumn.

The time we arrived was unfortunate, when an attack was taking place in Saint Denis. In addition to the terrorist incidents in the area, St. James's staff are warm, welcoming and professional. We were upgraded to a bigger and more lovely suite.

The furniture is old and they have refused to give I and my partner a refund when we decided to leave. Mind you, we entered the room for a total of 1 hr and they are refusing to pay us our money so we can book a better hotel. This is outrageous. I have also noticed they keep only the positive reviews so you re deceived into thinking the hotel is great when it s not. I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed and would never recommend here to another person.
