I have been living here since May 2016. This review is long but I just need to put my points out there. Decide for yourself if the pros outweigh the cons.
Pro: I love the inside of my apartment. Sound proof windows and balcony door. New appliances. Granite counters. Laminate wood floors. The view is amazing. It is in a convenient location, blocks away from Bayside and Publix. It is not far from Wynwood, Midtown, Miami Beach and Brickell. Right around the corner is the entrance to the highway.
Cons:
1.I have not received a copy of my lease agreement despite asking for it at least 3 times.
2.Parking garage is a nightmare even when I am driving 5mph. No mirrors, speed bumps or lines on ramps. I get anxious and dizzy easily and I am on the "7th" floor. The garage floors are like this, 1, 2A, 2, 2B, 3A, 3, 3B, 4A, 4, 4B... You get the idea. They contract with a valet company so guess what? They add congestion to the parking lot. I was told before I moved in that there will be fobs and gated arms. Nope none of that. Several motorcycles and bicycles have been stolen. There is a now a security patrol in a golf cart. This is a joke. They should check who has a parking sticker before allowing to enter the garage and park themselves. There are no cameras in the garage.
3.Noise everywhere. I can hear AC units at the Adrienne art center's rooftop. The AC unit inside the apartment is loud. The garbage chute is in between 2 apartment units so they put a time restriction on when you can take trash out.
3.Pets have to take the service elevator which is always dirty. I thought this building was pet friendly. Those who have pets that tend to have accidents and do their business in the other 4 elevators, please have a plastic bag and at least paper towels on hand.
4.A few days after I moved in, there was a cart of trash and cleaning supplies in front of my door. I had to complain to the front desk before it was removed, and they said it belonged to the cleaners.
5.There's no dedicated line to reach maintenance.
6.Security at front desk act like they're full of authority. I've sat in the lobby waiting for my ride and been asked what I'm doing. Then they keep peering over as if I'm a suspicious character. Valet and security have both threatened to call the cops when guests sit in their car at the road curb or on the first floor of the garage, to wait for me.
7.There are 4 elevators. During rush hour, the elevators are so crammed like tunas in a can that you have to wait for the next one; which is fine, except you have to wait another 5-10 minutes for the next one to arrive (yes I have timed it everytime). Any other time, all but one will work and the rest will stay on the floor they're on.
8.Expect to only get ONE key card. This costs $50 and any other key cards will have to be requested and charged an additional $50 each.
9.They add rules by posting a paper in the elevators. The residents joke about this and correct the misspellings, which is kinda funny.
