I absolutely love this place and always have but sadly a few things let it down.
1. They simply let too many people in. The waiting times for rides are just too much, for kids and adults and there is no seating in the queues. Even fast track can't really be counted as fast. I noticed a lot of rides that can fit 5 people going off with just 2 or 3 and rides for 4 people going out with 2. At other parks it's common to ask the queue if there's a small group to fill the empty seats and I rarely noticed the staff doing this.
2. The food/drinks/merch are very expensive, especially considering how much the tickets are. I'd recommend bringing a packed lunch and if you want to buy something with the Chessington logo on that's fine but if it's just a teddy or little toy you're better off buying it elsewhere.
3. There was only 2 water fountains throughout the park to refill water bottles. It's important to stay hydrated but as I've said the drinks are very pricey so more free water fountains would be nice.
Other than that it's amazing, the rides are very fun, I was sad about Bubbleworks going but I must say the Gruffalo ride was lovely! Whilst the food is costly there is a great variety to try if you can afford it, the toilets that I went to were all clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the zookeepers very knowledgeable (wish they had a bit more time to talk to us animal lovers) the animals seem happy and well cared for, the Sealife center is just beautiful, I'm in awe every time I walk through it and it's just an amazing day out for the family! I wish I could give it 5 stars, maybe next time?
