Received a notice that I had a delinquent balance ...

Received a notice that I had a delinquent balance for my sewage bill. I pay all of my bills on time every month and have never missed a payment so I found it odd. After speaking to the very passive customer service rep, I was informed that they have mailed it every month and that it's my responsibility to pay. I informed her that I have never seen this bill and will gladly pay it right now.

They can't take payment over the phone, she told me about online billing and to try the website but there's a 2.5% fee for it, and that I could stop in their offices 8-430 M-F. All viable options unless you're being told your water will get shut off. So I now I have to write a check for a balance I was unaware of plus a penalty fee for a bill Ive never seen, and then drive to an office and put it in a mailbox and HOPE they process it before my water gets turned off.

This is the 2nd bad experience I've had with this company for such a simple bill. It astounds me that it's my fault when I've never had notice of anything before this, and when I try to reconcile it that they're unwilling to help.

Thankfully I had a bored, tired, passive representative to explain this to me. Otherwise I would be really frustrated.... Oh wait, I am. Wouldn't recommend them for anything.
