Post hysterectomy, I must say the care I received at UNC Women's Oncology was superb! Beyond what I was expecting and a really good experience. Especially that I did not have to wait for pain medication, and the staff was quick to supply allergy meds when I had a reaction to a medication. Nurses and nurses aides, even the cleaning staff were all caring and patient oriented. I never had to eat jello, and the food service is set up as ordering take-out from menus. You call in to get food that you would like to eat. It is delivered by people dressed as wait staff. I was blown away-try the chicken noddle soup, excellent! Overall, they are doing their best to make the hospital stay as painless and pleasant as possible.
