It's an unforgettable experience to visit this place. I was there in 1977 and have never forgotten it. See photos of the movie stars that Anne had posted on her walls, and the secret staircase that led to the family's hiding place. Many up-dates have been made to the house since I was there but I'll never forget visiting it. It was located just a few blocks from the youth hostel where i was staying. Many years later, as a teacher, I led my class in a discussion of Anne's diary and told them of my visit. I also connected with Miep Gies, the family's connection to the outside world and corresponded with her, sharing her letters with my class, who were most appreciative.
