The surgeon we had for sons cleft lip and palate was fantastic. Nurses were also wonderful as well as the pedistric ortho. Wait times at the clinics are long, usually 30 minutes to an hour per provider. Waiting / scheduling areas are chaotic and schedulers are often rude, probably from the overload. If you're seeing four to six doctors, that's a lot of waiting.

After my sons second surgery, we went back for his post op, we live 2.5 hours away, and we're told that his surgeon was in surgery and could not see us. That's it. Would you like to reschedule? We did go back but haven't been back since.

I've tried to schedule an appt to check in since his surgery. Wasnt an urgency, son is doing well and healthy. Since 2015, I have called every month or so. No return call. I left a message with the craneofacial nurse today and received a message. Message said that they called but my voice mail was not set up. I always have my phone and check home log for calls. Nope, no call.

I prefer to choose my family's doctors. When visiting Seattle Childrens craneofacial center, all doctors and appt times are decided for you. A list is sent to your home of who and when you'll see. I suppose it streamlines their time but doesn't leave much choice for families.

There are very talented and compassionate providers at SCH and I appreciate their skill and time. I hope the hospital will work on their scheduling systems.
