Rooms were clean. Deluxe room with upgraded view was 85% patio view of 2 HVAC rooftop units and 15 % view around the corner of the mountains. HOWEVER right below the mountains was the trash/shipping/receiving area that was far less than appealing. By far the most impactful to this review was the sewage plant like smell coming from the pool area (although not the pool water itself). We mentioned this multiple nights during our stay and were met with confused looks. The smell was enough for our kids to frequently mention it smells like bodily functions so to us that made the pool ammenity unusable. The pastry market is incredible. The eclairs and macaroons are equivalent or better than 5 star dining restaurants and exclusive clubs. We've stayed at 6 different 5 star hotels in the Scottsdale area and this would have to be rated the worst by far.
