The place is beautiful and relaxing. Picturesque charm. Fireside S mores are brilliantly clever. Sadly Services misses were a million little things....When making a phone reservation could never get live person, so had to book online. ( making it pretty obvious the wide hourly swing in room rates which set the tone of Nicole and diming of every thing from bikes to boat rides once you get there ) Waiting 2 1/2 hours for our room at checkin, were not informed we were on second floor as we drove to room so had to shlep our bags up ourselves with no busboy insight , tried to call laundry service during business hours got transferred then voicemail then a call back 4 hours later, most boat rides for the weekend already booked when we arrived, concierge would say they would get back to us in 5 min then 20 min later we would have to walk over to find they hadn t starting working on the request. Given the luxury nature and price point they need to address services gaps to truly excel. However, the property itself ... in particular staying at a cottage or home would be a great group/family vacation.
