I really needed a car, after mine got totaled because of a flood and my time in the rental car was up. I actually checked online and ran across Motor zone and started to read the reviews and kept seeing the names Marie pop up everywhere and also John. And boy am I glad I called them! I talked to Maria first and couldn t make it the day I scheduled but Kohn followed up and called me the next day and I went in to see them but Maria has left for the day and I was hoping to meet her but John took really good care of me! I got a nice car and it s mine all mine, he worked with my payments, my insurance and all in between. I m super pleased and highly recommend them!

I went to the Motorzone thinking, "There's no way I'm going to get approved..my credit is shot"! But then I met Josh Ross. He is an excellent sales associate; patient, understanding and very knowledgeable. You don't have to worry about the typical sales guy trying to sell you anything just because he needs the money! No, these people really care about you and actually give you a monthly payment that makes sense. You can go here knowing you will be treated very well!!! I never leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience in hopes that I can save someone else from the headache, inconvenience, & money wasted that I ve gone through over the last 8 weeks. Two months ago I decided to go to the motor zone to look for a new car. I knew that given my poor credit score I was going to have to pay more & was prepared to pay the extra cost as long as I was able to find a reliable car and build up my credit score. I found a 2006 Toyota RAV4 (which I loved) listed for double the cars value, but I was okay that. All I can say is thank god I got the warranty. Two weeks into leaving the lot, the car won t start. Motor Zone has it towed to Charlie s, one of two shops they work with. This happens on a Monday and I m told the car will be serviced & ready for pick up by Wednesday. It actually takes 4days. I finally pick the car up on Friday. Things seem to go well for the next two weeks, then check engine light comes on. I ve now had the car for about a month. The temp tags are still on it. My personal mechanic runs the codes & tells me that the scan shows all 6 cylinders misfiring & the coils likely need to be replaced for all 6. He offers to do the work but insists I go through the Motor Zone since I have the warranty. So Monday the car is again dropped off at Charlie s. On Tuesday they tell me they ran a test & that only one coil needs to be replaced. They replace the coil as well as all 6 spark plugs. Again it takes another 4/5 days before Friday rolls around and I am able to pick the car up, less a $100 fee. The warranty offered says the owner is responsible for the first $100 of repair cost. Friday I drive to and from work (a total of 6 miles), no problem. The car then sits for the weekend, before I drive to and from work Monday night. After coming home from work Monday night, again the car won t start. This is 4 days after getting it repaired and driving it a total of 12 miles. Tuesday I m told by John that maybe Charlie s didn t give a proper diagnostic so he s gonna have the car towed to Joe s. I ask that the car be taken instead to a Toyota Dealership, but that falls on deaf ears. Wednesday I speak to joe and am told that the car s ECM (the brains of the car) needs to be replaced. Not good, not good at all. Again, thank god for the warranty because this is a very expensive part that rarely needs to be replaced in any vehicle. He has to special order the part from Toyota & it won t be in till Friday so the car won t be available till Monday. Frustrating & inconveniencing, but if it means that it will be the last of problems then great. I will make arrangements & continue to pay not just for an uber to get around, but the overpriced payments for a car that I haven t been able to drive. Monday rolls around, no word from Joes or Motor Zone. Tuesday I call and am told that the car is being worked on and that someone would give me an update later that night; it never comes. Wednesday I m told that the Toyota specialist is running test to make sure that everything is running the way it should. It s now Thursday & I m still scrambling to figure out how I m going to get to and from work so that I can continue to overpay for a car I can t drive. The moral of my story is this: save your money. Better yet, take that down payment & find a car on Craigslist. This whole experience has been more trouble than it s worth. I really wish I could recommend this place, especially since they offer a $200 cash incentive if a friend or family member buys a car and uses your name, but I wouldn t wish this on anyone I gave a damn about. Even if the car is available to pick up today, my confidence is extremely low & I will spend the next two weeks waiting for the next shoe to drop. Jean, John, Charlies & Joe have been nice & courtesy, but niceness isn t going to get me to and from where I need to be. Niceness doesn t make up for the $300 uber fees I ve racked up for the 23 days (out of 62) the car has sat at a shop. Look elsewhere or get familiar with New Jersey s Implied Warrenty Laws.

This is how this place operates people that don't have cosigners or low down payment at an official dealer this place will put you in a whatever car ..exterior might be nice interior mostly dirty BC mostly it was a trade in car and they double the price BC your high risk and with the annual percentage which is 19% you'll end up paying triple like 20k with payments like $155 biweekly for 4years on top of not knowing if car is fully functional and they make you sign papers so you won't sue them and only way to protect you is don't buy from them but people are desperate and need a car to get back and forth to work to feed family its called modern day Slavery and if you read reviews you can tell which review is fake (owners writing reviews) from real... just Beware
