This is a very nice hospital. The ER doctors are not as compassionate as they should be and the nurse aren't either. However, I was admitted and the nurses were awesome. I started out on the bone marrow floor which my room was the size of a master room in a house. It had a daybed, mini fridge, game systems, DVD player with movies and a huge bathroom. They ended up getting a bone marrow patient in and I had to give up my room. I was transferred to the women's(six floor). I was upset at first but ALL the nurses were AWESOME. The room was a lot smaller and only had a smaller daybed. They did however have a pantry on the floor that is accessible to patients and their family. Last but not least, the food at this hospital is awesome. I've been in and out the hospital all my life and I've never been in a hospital who's menu is 10 pages long. They have all types of cuisines. There kitchen is also open 24 hrs/7 days a week. So if for any reason you have to be hospitalized, I would definitely push to be admitted to UNC. The friendliness, cleanliness and not to mention the food makes being hospitalized a little easier. I hope this helps someone. God bless you!!
