Went to a showing while on a cruise. Only 1 item I marked as being interested in was actually shown. Bid and won print for $60. When I went to "check out" later that evening they had one computer and only 1 person to run it so they had us wait in a back room with a bunch of paintings they hadn't sold and proceeded to try to talk us into buying those. Finally, got my turn to check out and I was told repeatedly that if I attempted to carry my art off the ship it would "ruin the print". When I told the woman multiple times that I would get the print framed upon my return home, she continually told me how expensive that would be, that the print would be ruined if framed by someone else, and how I would basically void all the print quality guarantees they offered if I didn't opt for their framing service. I spent over 30 minutes going back and forth with the person until finally I caved and paid for their framing & shipping so I could leave and get on with my life. My $60 print ended up costing me over $400. I will NEVER make the mistake of attending one of these events again.
