Review of Amari Palm Reef Resort

The reception, pools,and breakfast Areas are beautiful! This section of the resort was recently refurbished; so no complaints in that department. However, the rooms are very dated and need immediate attention. There are stains on the linen, cracks in the furniture and it smells musty. Also, the rooms were not cleaned to a high standard, I was very dissatisfied with the level of cleanliness. On several days , we were only given 2 complimentary bottles of water rather than 3 (3 guests in our room). I saw on the website there was a free shuttle from the airport, but when I booked, I was charged because it was not a direct flight? There are no direct flights from Sydney to Koh Samui. This is very misleading and considering there are not many holiday makers visiting Samui at the moment, I would expect the resort to offer more.Last time I was in Samui, I stayed at Chaweng regent hotel and I wish I stayed there again this time. I will not stay at this resort in future. Also, upon arriving in Samui, I had emailed the resort on several occasions ( first time travelling with my baby, I had a few questions). Many of my emails went unanswered.
