My spouse & I came to this hotel for a weekend getaway to reconnect. Upon checking in, I had requested an upper floor, far away from the elevator. What I received a ground floor room with a view of the parking lot. I reminded them of my request, no where to place us. Fine, brush it off. We enter the room it's stuffy and smelly. We open up the room to air it out and I literally bathe it in Febreeze. We go to the Oz restaurant - which is a bar area eating at 5PM. First, the bartender/server sits us down and gives us menu, ask if we want drinks and we ask for a recommendation. He says he will be right back with the drinks menu and disappears for 20 minutes, a young Jamaican bartender (who finished his shift) sees our frustration and ask if he can help. After listening to us brings us a drink menu, takes our order, and makes our drinks. When he brings our drinks, my husband ask for water. That's when he passes the torch to the previous bartender/server. He literally had no one to help and it took another 20 minutes to get water. We were extremely upset and brought the matter to the attention of the bartender/server who was not even apologetic and told us not to be rude. Seriously!?!? We are going to spend are hardworking money on this place and they are treating us like this. We got up and left. Fernando the manager (on his day off) followed us to try to amend the situation but did not acknowledge the inadequacy and treatment of his staff. Stating that he was the best server they had but he was just having an off day? Seriously, that's your best? It was a sad experience all around. We refuse to eat from the hotel and frankly this has soured our thoughts about Hilton Hotels.
