Michael Levene Review of caesar's palace

Room booked by friend who drops big at hotel.
Valet from airport didn't materialize. Lined for 20+ minutes and they couldn't find reservation didn't feel welcome, the agent made no effort. It's almost humiliating to be turned away. Not a good start. Was going to find a cab and find somewhere else but very late so tried 20 minute line-of-fortune again with extra info, and got lucky, agent located the reservation, maybe I was unlucky & better if he didn't. Room rate higher than I could have booked online. That leaves a sour taste.
Need late 2pm check out tomorrow and concierge said it will cost more. Overheard another staff member saying to guest on way to adjacent tower 'this is the nicer tower, its newly renovated'. It's maybe true but it's makes me feel I am not valued.
Maybe unlucky but I am not getting a warm cozy reception at hotel. It's supposed to be 5 star and I am paying more than I would have staying elsewhere, which are equally nice. It should be near perfect and yet it's a cold frosty clinical feeling too the hotel. Chosen to gamble & eat elsewhere between work commitments.
Room is good but carpet is worn and toilet flush handle has to be positioned to prevent continually water flow. Room not cleaned in 2 days since arrival date not being there during day and it was not pristine when I checked in (something on floor in bathroom)
Previously stayed Mirage, Treasure Island, Planet Hollywood, Luxor, The D, Harrah's, Tuscany Suites and many others - this ranks low as my expectations are too high.
Reduced to 1 star, day 3 room not serviced mentioned to staff. No courtesy response back.
