This place was on the way home where I am visiting...

This place was on the way home where I am visiting from out of state after a very challenging motorcycle road trip that wasn't quite over yet. I was tired and cold having been on the road since 10:30am and doing the hardest mountain roads ever in my life. A little disoriented and worried about the last 50 mile leg of my journey back to Brevard, I popped in to get directions and juice my phone. The waitstaff was closing down the place for the evening around 9:30pm, but these gals were the cheerleaders at my pep rally, encouraging me to head up and over the Blue Ridge Mountains nearby rather than going the highway and adding an extra half hour to my trip.

These were very kind and engaging ladies, especially the mother/daughter waitress duo that lived nearby. The younger one told me very specific landmarks to look for as I rode through the windy, dark mountain pass with no familiarity for this path, just the type of roads I had been riding all day... in the daylight. She kept saying, "You can do this, just don't stop." Amazing advice given that I thought the route would be 20 miles shorter than it was. Although I didn't eat anything at Bogart's, I drank deeply of a different sustenance to get me over a giant mental and physical hump back to home. It gives new meaning to the phrase, "...entertaining angels unaware," not that I am any angel, but those waitresses sure were. Many thanks, Bogart's, for your kindness to a weary traveler and stranger to these parts.
