If you re curious about this place and need a revi...

If you re curious about this place and need a review to help you make your decision on whether or not to eat here, please let this be that one. Looking over the reviews, I figured this place would be fine to eat at. Our hotel is right next door and we were tired of driving around, so we decided on the pub next door. The reviews made it seem promising so we took our chance. From outside, it looks closed. There s no light that tells you when they re open or closed and no sign to tell you exactly what their hours are. Only 11 until close. So when is close? We walk in and see a sign that says seat yourself and we go to sit and while the place looks as if it s slowing down from a rush, the other customers looked displeased. Tables were not bussed and seemed as though half the chairs were missing. We sat down and waited to get service and it took a minute to even get menus. Which was fine, but the menu items were not Irish like you would believe it to be. Server didn t stick around long enough to get drinks. She set the menus down and left, which gave us time to look around. There s reviews about dust being everywhere and I figured it was because the chandeliers were too delicate, but if you look on top of the fans, there is so much build up that the second you turn it, a huge dust bunny is falling in your food and drink. Finally, our server came back and asked our drinks and we hadn t decided if we wanted alcohol or not or if we were even going to stay, so we just order water. She comes back with water then off she goes. Our server honestly probably only said 3 words to us at the most the whole visit. We decide and we just sit there waiting and waiting for our server to realize that hey, we would like to eat at some point. One of us ordered an appetizer and two of us ordered pulled pork and the other ordered a bowl of chili. Our food came out in a timely manor, but never received the appetizer and I had asked for chips with my meal and never received that either. I put it off as she forgot since she did not write any of it down. The bowl of chili was literally half a bottle of chili pepper seasoning and ground beef. And you could not taste anything but the seasoning. The pulled pork wasn t that bad, but as someone who likes sauce ON my pork, it was cooked into it, which is fine, I just really like extra barbecue. But the coleslaw that comes with it was not great at all. So we ate quickly so we could leave and hopefully get away from the obvious drunks who needed to be cut off awhile ago, and our server just seemed to avoid us like the plaque. Piled our plates up and waited to get our check and we finally had to pull her aside after she passed our table 4 or 5 times and ask her for the check. No charge for our appetizer we didn t get. No charge for the chips I had asked for. So we paid and left. We haven t even been gone a half hour from there and two of the three of us already feel sick. I don t understand how it s an Irish pub when there s only one Irish item on the menu and the Irish decor is little to nothing. The place really should just be a bar and not serve food whatsoever. And with how dirty the place was, I m surprised the health department hasn t come in and told them to clean the place. This place isn t a place to eat and probably shouldn t be walked into until it s cleaned thoroughly.
