The customer service that I have received through ...

The customer service that I have received through Patient Business Services is absolutely abysmal. The hold times are excruciatingly long 30+ minutes (at a minimum). Once you are able to speak with a representative, the often treat you with disregard and animosity. I have never felt respected, or thoughtfully acknowledged during these calls.

Additionally, there is a clear lack of management and communication regarding patient accounts. Each time I call, I receive inconsistent information regarding any outstanding balances or claims. As a patient, it is deeply frustrating to not be able to receive clear answers on the status of my accounts. I don't feel valued and I certainly do not find Santa Clara Valley Medical Center trustworthy.

People do not go to the hospital because they want to be there. We go there seeking help and care, but Santa Clara Valley Medical Center does not provide that. The last thing someone who is ill wants to worry about are the financial consequences after a troubling time.

Please, if you can help it, do not go here. Save yourself the pain and frustration and visit a hospital system that actually cares about its patients.
