This place is a pathetic joke, to put it lightly. I bought my car here over a year ago and have had the worst experience with everyone that I have ever spoken with at the dealership. The first problem I had was with the audio system in the car which was very poorly designed and makes no sense. I have about 100 GB of music on my iPod classic and computer and was unable to utilize any of the car s audio features (other than Bluetooth) to play said music. My salesperson somehow had zero clue as to why the iPod feature didn't work so my next option was to try to move all of the music onto a 120 GB flash drive, which was not cheap. This did not work at all either and when I consulted the service department I met with some cocky young guy who was wearing a tie and turquoise shirt for some reason and he told me that the reason the flash drive wasn t working was because I needed to rename all of my music files. How exactly he correlated the flash drive not working with renaming all of my music files I will never know. It seems that he (like the salesperson) had no product knowledge whatsoever and even less knowledge about technology. From here I was forced to return the flash drive and instead purchase a microSD card for my phone and then use Bluetooth to play music which has since been working relatively flawlessly. Why Honda did not just put a simple AUX input into the car baffles me, but that is beside the point.
My next problems with DCH stem from attempting to cancel all of the extra features that come with new car purchases (lo-jack, window engraving, dent protection, lifetime oil changes, etc.). I was stupid enough to be duped into buying them by the salesperson and now I gravely regret it. My finance associate was Jerrod Hurley, whom I told that I wanted to cancel everything EXCEPT the lifetime oil changes. I had to call him every single day for weeks on end and then tried calling his cell phone (which he never picked up) before he attempted to respond to me. I told him in all of my many voicemails that I wished to cancel all of the extra features EXCEPT the lifetime oil changes. I probably called him a total of 30 times, and he didn't pick up once. Finally he responded to one of my calls to his personal cell phone and told me that I would have to come in and sign the paperwork cancelling all of the extra features. I should have read what I was signing because it included cancelling the lifetime oil changes and Jerrod did not tell me this even though I had told him multiple times earlier that I did NOT want to cancel the lifetime oil changes. I was not aware that I cancelled it and actually brought my car in for one of these free oil changes. It was pretty quick and painless but I thought it was rude that the people in the service department decided to change the radio station in my car to Hot 97. I don t really see the need to change my radio station to such trash seeing as how short of a period of time an oil change takes but I guess I shouldn t split hairs. It just seemed like a slap in the face after having gone through so much trouble since purchasing the vehicle. I told the person behind the service desk that I had unlimited oil changes and this individual seemed to concur and I did not have to pay anything. Fast forward several months and I brought my car in for its second oil change. For some reason it took over 3 hours and then when it was all said and done I was informed by the service guy behind the desk that I do not have lifetime oil changes. When I told him I did he told me to talk to my salesperson. My salesperson then showed me a piece of paper verifying that I canceled it last year, when I canceled all of my other features. He said the free oil change I got from DCH must have been an oversight on their part. Haha. When I asked if it could be reinstated he said that he would definitely call me on Monday and figure it out with their third party billing vendor. I have never heard from him since and I will never do business with DCH again, as they are beyond incompetent and lazy.
