The front desk never answered their phone. I stood in the hotel lobby, placed a call to the front desk while no one was being serviced at the time and the two staff members never picked up the phone that continued to ring for at least 3 minutes. Also Asst Front Desk Manager Jose Melendez told me on April 23, 2021, that I could not play my music from my phone through my small portable speaker outside by the pool because if he let me do it then he has to allow other guests. I stated to Jose Melendez that I had played my music on April 22, 2021 and no security guard, staff member or guest said anything to me about stop playing my music so what changed in a day. I asked him was there a hotel policy in writing that states I can not play my music outside by the pool and he stated no. I asked him had anyone complain about my music and he said no. He stated it was because he said I couldn t play the music and that was it. Also my credit had been charged an extra $5.00 for a bill that was supposed to be $15.70 ($10.70 for the total and a $5.00 tip) but when the charge showed up on my credit card bill it was $20.70, which means the La Concha waiter illegally charged me an additional $5.00. The 10:00 pm curfew caused La Concha guest to have to stay on the premises but the hotel staff really wanted the guests to go to their rooms at 10:00 pm and was doing their best to make hanging out at the pool difficult. The hotel security actually told a group of people seating together to lower their voice because it was giving him a headache. Worst stay ever and I will never come back to La Concha Renaissance Resort or Puerto Rico again because of the poor experience I had while staying at the resort from April 23-26, 2021.
