Took my new 2018 Honda Pilot in for service Sunday...

Took my new 2018 Honda Pilot in for service Sunday evening, July 15, 2018. The interior dome light stayed on while driving down the road, and the car stuck in 1 gear twice when I had to hit the breaks hard, and then accelerate quickly afterwards. (getting on 288) Had to pull off the road, turn the car completely off and restart to get it back to normal. Asked to have the oil changed, and tires rotated also. Called Monday around 3 pm because I had not heard from anyone. Jeff called me back and said they were finishing up at that time, and the recall work was done. Didn't know about a recall, but that was fine. Asked him about the 2 things I brought my car in for, and after a minute was told that the service guy could not "recreate" the problem. Jeff said the service guy drove my vehicle and the dome light was not on, and the brakes and acceleration was fine. I was probably driving 2 footed to make the car not accelerate properly, and had a door not shut properly to make the dome light stay on. (I am 60 years old, raised 5 boys, drag raced for years, I think I know how to drive, and to check doors to see if they are open before asking for something to be checked.) I expressed this to Jeff, told him I checked this, and that I was going to be very irritated to come pick up my vehicle and find the dome light still staying on. He told me he would have it checked again, and I said I would pick up my vehicle on Tuesday. 12 noon Tuesday I arrive to get my vehicle, go to pay the cashier and ask about the oil change and tire rotation. She looks at my paperwork and says, "Yes this was done, and they could not find a reason for the "check engine" light being on. What?? My car pulls up and the service guy gets out saying "That dome light won't cut off no matter where you put the button, that must be what the lady was talking about" Jeff was standing outside with us and did not know what to say. I was pissed. Guess no one actually drove my car after all. So, did any off the work really get done? Was my oil really changed???I guess it is really hard to "recreate" a problem when no one actually drives the car. Went up front and asked for the service manager. Girl called, no one answered. She paged him. Waited 10 more minutes, no one showed, she called again. Was told he was in his office and would not be coming up front. I left. I will follow up with the Better Business Bureau.
