DO NOT use this company if it were the last transfer company on earth. Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting treatment of customers. Not only was the driver extremely rude once he arrived, the car was absolutely putrid. Secondly, the driver did not follow both verbal and visual sat navigation directions, adding an extra 15 minutes to our journey, as we circled the backlanes of Blackwall Tunnel.
The WORST part was the driver FALLING ASLEEP for microseconds at a time... it was honestly terrifying and at 3am on a highway from London to Gatwick, we had no other option than to open the windows, turn the music up and ask the driver questions (he couldn't speak English) to ensure that he was as stimulated as possible. My brother was sitting in the front seat ready to take the wheel at any time.
I complained to Hoppa and was told it was "my word against the drivers" and they didn't believe me as I didn't provide evidence. Evidence would involve taking a flash photo on a dark, deserted highway to Gatwick, which would potentially put us in another dangerous situation, given how fatigued the driver was. Even though I have 2 other eye witnesses, I've still been accused of lying. I'm starting a formal complaint against Hoppa, taking them to ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution remediation), complaining to TFL about the driver and involving my bank in claiming the money bank. This is all guided by Citizens Advice so consult them if you suffer any issues.
As per the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services are to be provided with due skill and care... NEITHER of these were provided so Hoppa is contravening the law... DISGRACEFUL treatment of your paying customers.
