It was just okay. Nothing spectacular about it and the menu has the same old boring stuff. We may have come at a bad time. An employee complained the entire time that we were there about him doing all the work and his fellow coworkers did nothing. Even though it detracted from our experience, he had a point. We looked around and saw quite a few Max and Erma's employees either just standing around engaged in conversation and doing nothing or gathered at a table laughing and having fun with one another. Very little attention was paid to the guests. I witnessed one server get angry when one of her tables asked her for something. She was actually upset that a customer asked her to go her job! Where was the manager during all of this? Why was this okay? We will not be returning to this restaurant any time in the near future. My recommendation would be to fire everyone (especially the manager) for allowing this type of behavior to give the restaurant a black eye.
