UPDATE. I still go see Dr Kilcup and he has helped me get my life back. I just started going to him for chiropractic adjustments also and as expected he listens, addreses my issues and is helping me. Still highly recommend him for both functional medicine and chiropractic care!
I have been seeing Dr. Kilcup since August, 2017 and I highly recommend him. I have been dealing with issues with my immune system, allergies, chronic eczema, adrenal issues, hormonal imbalances, leaky gut, EBV, Lyme, fatigue, brain fog - the list goes on. Over the last 5 years I have seen 2 Naturopaths, a Homeopathic doctor, another Functional medicine doctor, traditional OB/GYN's, internal medicine doctors and an endocrinologist. All addressed bits and pieces of my issue, but none was able to come up with a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan until I met Dr. Kilcup. He is extraordinarily thorough, and takes the time to explain the reason behind every test, result and treatment protocol. He patiently responds to every question I have (and I am the type of annoying patient who reads about every single thing and then has a million questions). His daughters who work at the practice are wonderful. Taylor and Dr. K respond to all of my emails or phone calls within a day (or two if it's a weekend). They follow up about making appointments stay on top of everything. Regarding the testing - there is a lot. But I have felt that every test was important in uncovering what was happening in my body, and to measure the progress I was making with my treatment plan. Dr. K prioritizes the tests and never puts any pressure on me to do testing beyond the core tests. He really works to get to the root of your issue, and even spent time consulting the doctor at one of the labs where my results were puzzling to better understand what the results meant. I really trust Dr. Kilcup and would recommend him to anyone who has issues that other doctors have not been able to treat. You have to be willing to be patient and follow the treatment plan. This is not a place to go if you want a quick pill or procedure. You have to be willing to take charge of your own health and follow through with the holistic recommendations.
