We stayed at Kirpriotis Maris Suits at the end of April 2019, we booked last minute. The hotel had just opened for the season. Everything looked clean and well-kept. All employees were clearly trying. The rooms were okay and clean, the size smaller as promised but more than big enough. The view from the room was towards the sea, with the road in between. Cars also drove there, but they didn't disturb the night's sleep. Our beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was okay.
The buffet was always plentiful for all meals and was quickly refilled. We never had a lot of activity or even waiting times for meals, but we weren't there in the high season either. The selection at the buffet was more than sufficient, but the variety on the individual days could vary more. It tries to keep the food warm and preheated plates help. Unfortunately there is no sparkling water in the all-inclusive offer, neither for the food nor at the bar. The cocktails and drinks at the bar are mixed individually and are completely okay.
The beach is a few meters away, you have to cross a street. At the beginning of the season there was some new sand, it was still diligently cleaned and tidied up. The beach bar still consists of the truck and there are no toilets directly on the beach. Nevertheless, you can lie there comfortably and even step into the sea with shoes without any problems.
The entire area looks well-kept, but compared to other hotels in the immediate vicinity, in the same category clearly inferior. Beaches in the immediate vicinity clearly show what is possible with other hotels. We were always able to communicate well with all employees and had no problems with questions or requests. Unfortunately, our hotel was the only one that was already open, so we couldn't take advantage of the other offers in the partner hotel, we were told otherwise. Unfortunately, or actually nice, even the Maris Suits was not very full and the few activities that were offered (including yoga) were unfortunately still canceled. We do not wish to have to live near the air conditioning systems and generators in the main building. They are really loud and almost always run in April.
We had a nice relaxing week at the Kipriotis Maris Suits. However, you shouldn't expect too much based on the 5 stars it supposedly has. If you take this into account, you can have a good and relaxing holiday here.
