Apollonion Luxury Resort & Spa - Hotel FnB consulting Review

Not 5 star more like 4 star. Very clean and tidy Grounds quite stunning, but on site facilities limited. One bar restaurant opens the other closes so only one place on an evening to have drinks this is for the whole site. New pool area looks amazing but has only one male and one female toilet available the press button facility to get a drink either doesn t work or staff just don t bother coming over, the original pool is far better and cleaned better.

You have to go down to beach for bars etc which are all very good. The attention to detail is seriously missing here especially for a 5 star resort and spa. No water on arrival no tissues in room Diluted orange for breakfast no fresh orange, minor I know but what I would expect from a hotel of this rating . TUI staff excellent so when I discovered that my bedding should have been changed everyday and it wasn t they got it sorted immediately.

What a wonderful holiday we have experienced here. Spacious and beautiful rooms, large swimming pool with lots of sun loungers, good food (very extensive buffet) both morning and evening, incredibly polite and helpful staff, room spotless every day. There is a Spa where you can have a beautiful semi-permanent French manicure for 25.00, and lots of beauty treatments and massages. The gym is open every morning from 7 am, also a nice addition. A few remarks we have about the cocktails that you can order at the pool. Happy hour and all cocktails are half the price between 4 and 6 pm. Unfortunately, there was virtually no trace of alcohol in it, and the orange juice was ranja, which does not benefit your sex on the beach. The animation was also rather limp in the evening, a seated man behind the piano playing sad music. All in all, very few (and fairly unimportant) minuses that we can report. We think this hotel is definitely recommended, and will return again next year!

Not satisfied.twice allotted uncleaned table. Even after 20 minutes, there was no cutlery,no napkins.service is poor.

This was the second time me and the family have stayed here. The facilities are excellent, the accommodation and food are great too.

Lovely hotel, excellent staff, excellent food for both breakfast and dinner. Lovely room, we had a pool, only down side was we didn't have any sun lounges, we did ask for some to be told our room didn't qualify for sun lounges, this made it difficult to spend time in your own pool, small table and metal chairs on terrace where uncomfortable so we ended up using the main pool. Really think that all rooms with their own pool should have sun lounges.

The hotel is cozy and staff is really help full. I recomend. The location isn't the best, the beach it is close to (xi beach) isn't the best looking. I absolutely recomend something close to Myrtos or my personal favourite Petani beach.

Really a great resort to spend the holidays. Very quiet and peaceful, suitable for those who want to take a few weeks of total relaxation! The food is also excellent (it is a buffet). The beach is fairly close (about 300-350m) and is also very quiet.

Hotel suitable for families with children. Two swimming pools are available, one for children h45 cm and another, from h 110 to h150 cm. Varied and plentiful buffet breakfast and dinner, friendly staff. Clean rooms.

Beautiful hotel, everyone told us it was the best on the entire island! They have everything you need.

The singer/entertainer who comes around every other day must be a friend of the owner or work for almost nothing... If you're under eighty: horrible. Food is served like in a cantina. If you don't have a problem with that it's ok. Very friendly staff. Not clear to me is what the perpose of a restaurantmanager is who stands in your way when you are trying to get food in the very busy eating area.

Lovely complex we stayed in the new section. Large pool lovely rooms, breakfast great large choice evening meal ok some nights better than others. Have a nice kids pool at the other side with a small water park section for small children. Nice day restraunt at that end for lunch too.

Really nice hotel! Definitely worth the money we paid. The food for breakfast and evening meal was really good. Such a great selection of food (all you can eat / help yourself buffet). Lots of choice, something for everyone and this changed on a daily basis. Really good! The only downside for me is that I found the drinks a little expensive 4.50 for a large (500ml) Mythos which is just shy of a pint. My only other thing gripe is that you can order a drink from round the pool or when having evening meal and it can take up to 15-20 minutes to arrive...Just some inefficiencies that need addressing. They say they'll "bring you your drinks over" rather than just pouring there and then which can be annoying as the bar wasn't even busy. We stayed in the new part of hotel (Asterias) which are very nice rooms and the pool is great. Really big pool. Well worth a visit!!

Lovely hotel excellent room with beautiful view to mountains and side view of sea!! Food wonderful too!( I'm very fussy eater lots of choice) staff very nice too!

Apollonion Resort & Spa is not very far but also not that close to the closest village which is a bummer if you want a cheaper place to eat lunch, as breakfast and dinner are already provided. The rooms have great internet and in my opinion are good enough for me and my family. The staff is very friendly and are keen to have a conversation if you want to learn more about Greece. I loved my stay at Apollonion and would gladly come back here again!

Excellent hotel with lovely and friendly staff, foods are perfect in here with lots of choice. With five minutes walking distance to beach.

Big rooms, clean, towels changed daily, bed linen every second day. Good food. For breakfast, all drinks for free, but dinner - you have to pay. You can rent a car or buy a trip to see cool places. Especially a hotel worth recommending.

Amazing hotel, staff are very attentive and always smiling. Very clean with fantastic facilities. Pool was cleaned every day. Spa offers an great range of treatments. 4 mins walk from beach. Food buffet was of high standard

Very nicely build resort, spacious, quiet and lots of green. Besides the beautiful Xi Beach, not much to do in the near area. Buffet restaurant seemed a little bit short on staff and could have been better organised. The food was good.

Fantistic modern resort. The team are brilliant and its exceptionally clean too. Im not into all inclusive type resorts but I am definitely going to come again with the family. We went in Aug and there were plenty of sun loungers, seats etc no louts or rough family s and plenty of large swimming pools. The brochure genuinely does not do it justice. Kefalonia itself is also stunning. Only negative is that it takes a LONG time to get a beer in some of the bars and the main restaurant. We waited 50 minutes and left twice without a drink even when the order was taken when we arrived! Tip go early and order all your drinks for the night in one go.. Or drink at the beach places they will happily serve you.

A little difficult to get to but the two short bus rides and 20 minute ferry crossing add to the atmosphere. Fantastic accommodation and excellent variety of good quality food. Beach and variety of beach based restaurants 10-15 minutes walk. Car hire close by if you want to go further afield. Would recommend.

Great hotel, 2 massive pools. Lots to do and the food was a high standard.

It is a destination in itself. As isolated as it is worth it, it is above the expectations of even the most demanding customer. Extraordinary dining room impeccable and the rest space a daily exploration. All wonderful. Congratulations ..

Fantastic resort with polite staff good food and nice facilities

Hotel looks very neat. Swimming pools are good, especially the individual pools are recommended. Food on the contrary is substandard to the "standing" of the hotel. Fed up after 3 days. Then we went out for dinner and that was always perfect and delicious !!

Great hotel, rooms are clean and large with comfy beds, bathroom is clean and large and with your towles replaced every day. Food is excellent on half board with a large buffet with lots to choose from, one downside is the cost of drinks, you even have to pay for a bottle of water for your table. The pool area is clean with bar service, there is always a sunbed available and the pool is long enough and wide enough so you can swim comfortably. Beach is just a 5 minutes walk away, you have to pay for sunbeds but. You can just walk down from the pool area when you want to swim.

Clean, organized and all the staff are professional .... the food unlikely, the complex's green areas. I highly recommend it for families with small children. A perfect hotel on a perfect island will make your holiday perfect .... Better yet.

A great hotel! Service at the highest level. Beautiful and well-equipped. Plenty of attractions every day: DJ, pool concerts, outdoor cinema, etc. Regional food and always fresh and varied. Location near the sandy and beautiful beach XI with a gentle entrance to the water and near several car rental companies. The perfect hotel to relax for two <3

Accommodation and food first class, staff very friendly and helpful,pool area large very clean wonderful, short walk to the beach.

The hotel is pretty new. The downside is the smell of drains, the lack of a kettle in the rooms, the bars of tragic drinks, the lack of evening attractions not to mention that there is nowhere to sit. The advantage of this place is good food in the restaurant.

The staff at this hotel go out of their way to make it a wonderful stay and they succeed. Our second time here and we look forward to returning. A beautiful hotel spotlessly clean, in a beautiful location run by a dedicated team.The food was lovely with a great choice. We stayed here from the 1st Sept to the 8th and wish we were still there. If you are looking for a restful holiday in a beautiful hotel this would be hard to beat.

Food was excellent good choice and quality.

I have no negatives to say about this hotel or the staff at that either. Maybe a few suggestions only. Offering slippers is a must for a 5 star hotel and maybe tea and coffee should be refilled by housekeeping when they clean the rooms everyday and not someone knocking at your door first thing in the morning.
Other than that, this is a beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings and two amazing pools with lots of sun loungers. You get cards for pool towels which you get from reception and cab have fresh clean pool towels everyday. The area does not feel over crowded at all and the food at the pool bar and la pergola is wonderful. The staff are very helpful and try there best. Yes the service may not have been exceptional at present but they have only just expanded and doubled in size and only just opened so cut them some slack as those youngsters work there backsides off to make our holiday a brilliant experience!! A special thank you to little Costa who was at the pool bar and then at the dinner service. Lovely chap and always very polite, professional and willing to help you!
The housemaids do an great job and towels are changed daily too. The rooms are spacious and modern and have everything you need, including a kettle, fridge and Nespresso machine. Toiletries in the bathroom are re stocked everyday.
Now as for the food, wow is all I can say! Clean,tasty and fresh food daily to please all dietary demands! If I could give 100 out of 100 stars for there food and deserts I would!! Well done to all the chefs for there 5 star cooking!!
This hotel is surrounded by lush gardens and also the beach that is only a 5 minute walk away is lovely too. Two small mini markets just down the road where you can buy daily supplies. The town of Lixouri is only a 10 minute drive away and a cab will cost you 10 each way.
All in all my husband and I have had a wonderful relaxing week here at this lovely secluded hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a nice peaceful time is beautiful surroundings.

We stayed in September: a little cold but courteous staff, very large but quiet resort and suitable for those who want to rest.
They also offered 15 minutes of massages at the spa where they did
Sign 6 forms including medical history and disclaimers. However, the hotel is in a suburban area. But the beautiful beach is nearby (10 minutes walk). There are 2 swimming pools, equipped with bars.
Food (self-service) and wines are only fair. At the level of 3 stars in Italy. Better breakfast and if there are, local specialties.
Most of the rooms have no view, ours was on the ground floor for more.
Great especially for northern European tourists.

Food is very mediocre, has nice helpful staff but is certainly not worth five stars. Perhaps by Greek standards but a beautiful park.

Service very slow, can not distinguish red and white wine; if you order a small beer, you get a big one; etc.
Large room, but in the building 5 just behind the sewage treatment plant = balcony door always best, it stinks; Eat the same every day, nothing typical Greek; no 5 stars! The nearby Xi beach is very beautiful and a sandy beach;

Second time we have stayed. It was an amazing holiday. Staff superb very helpful. We were given a upgrade to a premium suite.thank you so much . From booking in to every aspect of the holiday went smoothly. Food wonderful. Room and private pool excellent.every member of staff could not do enough for us.We have already booked again for next may. Thank you everyone looking forward to next year.

Luxury 5 star resort. It is a bit remote but there is a beach within walking distance. This is not such a beautiful beach. The sand is red brown. There is a car rental company right next to the exit of the resort so you are quickly mobile. Also a bus stop in front of the door. Staff is very nice and speaks english. The food is very good and varied. Lots of vegetables and fruit.

What lovely hotel a bit remote and quiet but very good

Top level resort. Great attentive staff, rooms are very modern and raised the level I expect of other hotels now. Food is great, varied and very tasty. If you have half board, drinks are included for breakfast. They have nespresso coffee machine in the rooms as well. Beach is about 5-10 minutes walk away. Drinks are pricey though. Bar is very poor - beer tastes watery, cocktails are extremely overpriced and tasteless (9 euros each).

Simply amazing and private pool. Well worth 5 stars. Top island of Kefalonia.

The staff were friendly, the food was very xcellent, varied and delicious every day, and we enjoyed the many amenities of the hotel a lot! Would definitely recommend to anyone. Great place.

Superb service. Stunning hotel and very clean, faultless. Very welcoming but so are all Greek Island hotels. Simple the best. Ideal for younger children. Excellent food with a great variety. Something to please everyone. Anyone that complains must be all Victor Meldrew's relatives. It is remote quiet setting with only one mini supermarket and a handful of tavernas 5-10mins walk overlooking the beach at Xi. The ferry transfer is not wheelchair friendly, But is very scenic at night and day. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The entire holiday is very relaxing and easy enjoyable. Was upgraded to deluxe suite on arrival, for 2 days. WITH ensuite and family bathroom plus large SUN TERRACE. Very acceptable and pleasing. Would highly recommend the hotel and is Well worth a visit. I believe it's possible to get to the hotel by car hire from the airport or via taxi, without using the ferry.

Lack of activities for children and most of smaller games are charged. Too expensive food and drinks. Dinner does not include water in the price. Beds are not that comfortable. Staff are friendly. Very nice Xi beach close to the hotel.

Resort is nice, beautiful gardens and agriculture. The pools are great and aren't that full most of the time. The food is not as expected and can be very bland and wet. The service is close to poor, the wait for a drinks order is around 10 to 20 minutes with plenty of staff floating about. Overall, the resort is amazing but the service is minimal.
