This place was fabulous! I was returning to Connecticut for a five-day stay for a reunion and I wanted to take my new RV. My dog and I left Nashville on a Monday morning and we arrived early Wednesday. I was surprised that there were very few RVs on the property. Lake Compounce was closed for the season so I guess the campground doesn t stay busy either. But that made it even better! No wait for showers or amenities. I was just a stone s throw away from the showers and restrooms and they were kept very clean. I was also right by the dog walk and it was right along a wooded area. The campground was nestled in the foothills of s scenic overlay so I woke up every morning to a breathtaking view. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the campground was conveniently located just a few miles from grocery stores and restaurants.
I was so pleased with my stay and I would highly recommend Bear Creek, especially on the off season!
