In typical Disney fashion, they screw anyone with more than two kids over by making you stay in a suite and jacking up the price of your stay by double. So for the five of us to stay it would have run about $12,000 before airfare, and about $20,000 total for one week's vacation? That is before spending money and food? We make decent money but that is out of reach for the vast majority. Do what we did on our recent Hawaii trip if you have kids; rent through VRBO. We got a lovely beachfront condo on Maui for $395 a night, made breakfast and lunch ourselves, and saved a boatload of cash. Our kids still got to say they went to Hawaii to boot, they didn't give a crap that they didn't go to the DISNEY branded resort. Disney has extorted enough money from me over the last decade, I'm done!!
