I was admitted overnight from the emergency room 1...

I was admitted overnight from the emergency room 10/17-10/18 due to issues from a previous surgery I had on 10/3/2. The staff SEEMED really nice and caring until I got to about Monday. Everything from then on was all about me being discharged. Now I would love to be home in the comfort of my own bed, but I live in Overland Park alone. My job moved me here from Texas so I don t know many people. Well here we are Tuesday evening after I had just had a colonoscopy, I was told I m being discharged. I asked the doctor if it would be feasible to stay overnight since I just had a procedure and I had just taken a dose of an opiate (a C2 to be exact) and I was told by this doctor they ve done their procedures so I would to be discharged. So the nurses came in and out of the room I guess trying to gauge the situation, but I want to know what kind of hospital releases a person to drive in the evening/ night time who has just been under anesthesia as well as taken a dose of an opiate. I was told by one of the nurses that their supervisor okay d the decision for me to be discharged and drive like this. They called a Z-Trip driver to take me to my car. I was nodding in and out of sleep trying to stay alert only to realize they had given the driver the WRONG ADDRESS!!! He was taking me to an ER for advent health that was nowhere near where I had been checked in at. I had to give the driver the correct info all while trying to focus on where I was because I was so tired. If your bed count is that important to you all to where y all can literally put people out of your hospital (WITH INSURANCE) and be ok with it says a lot about your establishment. I don t care if I am bleeding out or in any kind of distress, I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN YOUR ER / HOSPITAL AGAIN!! I will be reaching out to the hospital s board and accreditation team to see if this is a normal practice for you all.
