Checked me into a room that was in the middle of engineering repairs to the bathroom. Took engineering 4 hours to come verify so I could move rooms. Front desk was nice enough and "upgraded" me to an identical room across the building with access to their lounge, which I found to be mostly uninspiring but had decent cheeses as an afternoon snack.
On Saturday there was an EDM concert in the park next to the hotel. Not the hotel's fault, but if you are looking for a quiet romantic place, you should check for music events in that park. Windows were rattling until 11 pm PT (felt like 1 am from CT).
In the new room, I was still surprised by how run down the room seemed, particularly the windows. No ventilation to the bathroom other than partially open-able frosted glass window which had no shade or curtain. Paint peeling and chips by the window.
The place is old and while the lobby area seemed nice and there were wedding or prom events every night I was there, the rooms left a lot to be desired.
