Jay Akrish Review of Pacific Northwest Periodontics

I was not given full disclosure I would be billed for my appointment today. I had seen Dr Schuler last year as a followup from a surgery he had performed on me in September of 2017. I was informed I wouldn't be billed at my previous appointment and Dr Schuler had informed me then that everything looked real good and he didn't see any reason for me to have any additional work to be done. During our conversation I was given the impression that unless something came up there was no reason for me to return, but then at the end of the conversation he mentioned that just to be certain I should come back in a year. I made the appointment that same day, and I had the impression then I wouldn't be charged and was never informed at all, until I had completed my appointment today. I never had any questions if my insurance was still current or anything to lead me to believe I would be charged. After voicing my displeasure I had the photos and xrays taken off the bill but still was charged $201 for the doctors portion. My hope is that this will be taken off as well and refunded back to my credit card. If not then I leave with a very bad taste and experience there today and will never refer anyone to this place of business. UPDATE: Since I last posted this review I was contacted by Pacific Northwest Periodontist. After reading this review and reviewing my situation they apologized and refunded the $201 they had charged me on my date of service. They also informed me they're changing their protocol so this misunderstanding won't happen again. I have changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars because it's something I shouldn't have had to experience but they did correct it properly. Dr Schuler is a very skilled and knowledgeable professional.
