We prepaid to go to the christmas light show and travel from smithfield NC-a little over 3 hours away with our toddler for his 2 year birthday gift. When we got their, we were directed to follow traffic-we were told by the ticket and information booth guy that it would be about a 30 minute wait. We literally waited in our car, in line for over 5 hours. I had to run out of the car and use the port-a-john in the lot and 5 cars beeped and pulled out in front of us. It was a nightmare! You couldn't get out of line either, so their was no "turn around point" if you changed your mind and didn't want to wait. By the time we got into the stadium, the lights were a complete disappointment. Put it this way, our toddler wasn't even interested...he wanted to watch movies instead. We literally left. We got their at 7pm and ended up finally getting out (without stopping to the village) at 12:20 at night. It was horrible. WE WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN! Honestly, they need to warn parents about such a long wait....people with kids were letting their kids walk outside of the cars to walk off energy because of sitting in the cars so long. The lights were certainly not worth all of that.
