If I could give less than one star I would. I called yesterday regarding a new car for sale I saw listed on the internet. The price shown on the website was $40K with a slash through it, and a note to contact the dealership for details. When I called I was connected to a lady named Magdalena who noted since it was a 2018 vehicle they were interested in moving it off the lot. She asked me a series of questions to determine what "special offers" I would qualify for, then told me the car would be $35K and some change. She then said if I'd provide my number she'd have her manager call "in a few minutes" to see if they could sell it any cheaper because of my "first responder" status. Two hours later I received a call from a guy who identified himself as "Ace." Ace said he was calling with a final number on the vehicle, and told me $37K plus. I explained I found that shocking considering my conversation with Magdalena and her quoting a price around $2K less. After a few minutes on the phone he said he would "talk with his manager" and call back shortly. As I was about to be tied up, I asked him to make it an hour. Around 45 minutes later I cleared up, called the dealership, and asked to speak with Magadalena's manager...Ace. The lady who answered told me Ace wasn't a manager, but was a salesperson. I asked to speak with him and was placed on hold. The receptionist then came back on the phone and said Ace asked if he could call me back. After hanging up, I noticed I had a text which was apparently from Ace, saying he was busy and asking me to text. I asked when he'd be unbusy and received the response of "5 minutes." Shortly thereafter he called...and told me after talking with his manager he'd gotten the final number on the car worked out...and it was $39K plus!!!! I asked how it was possible each time someone called me back the car price increased by $2K and he offered no explanation...he just said that was the price of the car. I WOULD STRONGLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AS YOU WOULD AVOID EBOLA!!!! It is clear they are engaged in deceptive practices and merely gaming potential customers. My next contact will be with North Carolina's Better Business Bureau, and Charlotte's business licensing entity.
