I lived at The Place for 13 mos and the stay was great. Prior to the term of that lease, I decided to relocate outside of Orlando. I completed the final move out inspection with the Maintenace Manager, who confirmed and signed that the apartment's condition was satisfactory and no further charges, relating to such, ought to be charged. The Leasing Agent informed me that my security deposit's refund should be expected within six weeks. After approximately four weeks, I received an email indicating the refund amount on my deposit. There was a mysterious $85 cleaning fee, that no one in the leasing office could explain. I was told they would need to verbally receive an explanation from the Maintenance Mgr, DESPITE what was clearly stated in writing. After multiple visits during the following weeks, I was told the $85 fee would be reversed. At this point, it had been 5.5 weeks. It is now NINE weeks, and not only have I not received my refund, but also, the entire staff is completely incapable of finding the status of my funds. I have been told that "checks are cut by their corporate office," however, NO ONE has ever been able to communicate with a single human being at their office. The entire set of excuses that I've been told, have been some of the most asinine, I've ever heard. I would highly advise potential tenants to reconsider a stay at The Place on Millenia. During the course of that year, I've witnessed multiple staffing and management changes and I can see why-- the team is incompetent and the management is apathetic.
