I am visiting Dubai for work, I expect the best customer service at The Ritz Carlton. Unfortunately today was great until the staff at the valet weren t able to complete a simple task as requesting a taxi. I specifically asked for a taxi that accepts US credit card and told them specifically my destination. They called a taxi, I got in and the taxi driver said unless I told him exact directions I needed to get out.
I got out and told the valet the same thing and asked if he could help and said he could only get me a cash taxi. I don t understand how local staff at the Ritz Carlton can t complete a simple task. If they can t they should communicate that instead of putting me in a situation and being treated very poorly by the taxi driver as well as valet staff.
Second cab driver also the same situation, he did take me to my destination but was also very rude because the valet staff didn t make sure he called a taxi that accepted US credit card and my destination. Please ensure you train your staff to use common sense and have local Dubai information. That s a small part of working in hospitality.
