First visit to the Globe and wow, what an impression. Academically I understood what Elizabethan theatre was, but to experience it was something else.
We saw a production of Othello. The immediacy of the space added that extra something. Despite the persistent rain the audience laughed and engaged with the actors in a way that doesn't normally happen in a regular theatre.
