Nicely updated hotel. Suites a little bigger and have microwave and fridge. Complementary breakfast the usual waffle bar, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled egg, etc.
Better to eat at the on-site cafe, which has a coffee bar, freshly made food, and a good selection of wine by the glass or by the bottle. Wine advice on site. Live ambient music in the evenings. Good pool and hot tub. Clean and all patio furniture in new condition .
Our only problems were with new staff who were confused about basic info. Resulted in some problems on significant issues--like being stranded at the theater late at nite. Hotel staff willing to fix the snafus. Apologetic. No excuses. I give them credit for that.
I would give one more star except for the problems that did get rectified. They will get the kinks out. I will stay at the Ashland Hills again. It's a pretty nice place at a good price. Lovely grounds with lots of trees and roses. Enjoy!
