My daughter-in-law was recently a bridesmaid in her friend's wedding. She was measured and was told they were ordering a SIZE 2 dress. Now she is a very petite young lady but she wears a SIZE 6!! They were told that if they didn't order that day, the dresses wouldn't be there in time.....they came in just 2 weeks later. So obviously the dress doesn't fit because they ordered the WRONG size. It was a simple chiffon dress with lace on top but was still a $200 dress. She was told there they wouldn't be able to do any alterations for her because "they waited until the last minute" to get the dresses. ALL the seamstresses in Knoxville would never be able to alter this dress so that it zipped up like it originally was meant to. I had to move the zipper down, let the sides out as much as I could AND add loops to draw it up like a corset. BEWARE LADIES WHEN THEY WANT TO ORDER A DRESS THAT IS MUCH SMALLER OR BIGGER THAN YOU NORMAL SIZE! They should always tell you ahead of time what needs to be altered and how much!
