We had a great time touring the brewery! It is clear that Blackstone goes the extra mile to "make better beer".
We had a great time touring the brewery! It is clear that Blackstone goes the extra mile to "make better beer".
The waiter was a bit slow on refilling drinks but the atmosphere and food are delicious. Side note, the mashed sweet potatoes have cinnamon.
I love this place and not for the beer. The atmosphere and the food are fantastic just watch the times you go because they have a different menu during the day. The evening menu has a lot more variety but all of their food is good but the beer... I'm not a fan... but then again I don't really like beer.
Limited menu. Chicken sandwich and burger were ok. Nothing amazing.
Food was great and so was the little 6 beer sampler I had.
I love this place. The first time I visited with my boyfriend and we both decided to get a flight. They give you like 7 or 8 beers in a flight (They are a lot smaller than normal flight glasses) and he and I both got a flight of all different beers so we could try everything they had on tap all at once. Everything was great! Their Bock is my absolute favorite. I also love that the food truck has vegetarian and vegan options. The decor and lighting inside the taproom is very fun too. I love visiting this place.
This place is AMAZING!!! Ashley will serve you your FAVORITE brew, but don't forget to visit Nicole at the B Stone Bus!!!
Went on a tour with a bachelor party. It was a lot of fun and we learned a lot about their beers. You can tell they are brewing beer because they like beer!
Terrible! High prices small portions i ordered an alcohol lemonade for 8 dollars and it was all water!! Never again!!!
The beers were wonderful, and the food was delicious. We went once, and then went back the next day because it was all so good. Try the Chipotle BBQ pork tenderloin with smoked Gouda grits - to die for - and their awesome St.Charles Porter beer. Fun atmosphere and great service.
Best tap room in Nashville, great beer and great service.
Delicious beer! Cozy Biergarten! Would definitely recommend the Adam Bomb!
Excellent place! Friendly, fast service with quality!!! Food was awesome & staff was great!! We'll keep coming back when we're in Nashville!
Wow! Wow! Wow! The BBQ Chicken pizza was great! They didn't have the red or otter on draft when we were here. The APA, St. Charles Porter & Nut Brown were amazing. The others didn't dissappoint either.
Fantastic beers, and more importantly an awesome taproom Manager, Anna. Thank you for the great conversation and making us feel like we belong here.
Didn't have a beer I didn't like while I was there.
Great beer from the bar and great food from the bus!
An off the beaten path taproom with an amazing staff and customer base!
Excellent tour the day after Christmas. Very imformative and entertaining tour, thank you for all the bonus info beyond our scheduled 1 hour tour. Happy Holidays!
The beer is good and the bar food is tasty. The tap room has a great view of the Brewery.
Really good food in addition to their excellent beers. Ask for the "Devil's Dust" to add some spice to your meal, it's their homemade seasoning and is superb.
Of course the beers are amazing. This place is a all around great place to eat and drink.
Customer service is mediocre. Food is garbage ! Everyone seems to love the beer though.
An awesome place to catch up with friends over a few beers. They also have a great food bus if you want some delicious fish and chips.
Food was great. My beer was warm it was the worst beer I ever had at a restaurant. I would not come back becuse I like a beer with a meal. Service was sooo slooow with about 25 people in the restaurant.
We went there with a big group for our friends birthday without reserving an spot but they treated us very good
This has always been one of my favorite breweries in Nashville, and after touring their production facility for the first time Blackstone climbs further up my list. Exceptional hospitality and great tasting beers. As much as I like some hazy beers and big stouts, it's nice to step back into some traditional beers done right. Thanks for an excellent experience!
Been going there for years. Always very good and accommodating staff. Many TVs
Fish and chips were phenomenal!!!! Burgers were delicious as well.
Great beers. Fun, casual atmosphere. Fun place to hang out
This is one of my favorites in Nashville. The food is good, the atmosphere is inviting (the lighting is maybe a bit dim, sometimes), and the beer is wonderful! Bathrooms are clean and kept up, service is friendly, prices are good. PRO TIP: Until January 14, 2015, pints are $2.75 in celebration of their 20th anniversary! Not applicable to Stephanie's Dubbel.
Ashley is the best bar manager ever! And the beer is fantastic too. Especially the cider. Cannot recommend high enough.
Its a brewery/restaurant.....the food is o.k. but they have great lagers and ales. The Nut Brown Ale is, in my opinion, their best overall consistent brew. Blackstone has a cozy feel.
Good beers. IPA disappeared on my tongue! Had an extra pint of Porter. Not remarkable, kept looking for a finish that never came. Burger was FABULOUS!!!! Hot pretzels were great also, the mustards are wonderful
If you want a good beer, you can do no better than the oldest craft brewery in Nashville! Great selections, friendly staff, and even a food truck on-site for some quick grub if you want!
Delicious beer, fun atmosphere, and a unique tour experience. You have to sign up for the tour online. If you just show up, you can't guarantee a spot. If you're in Nashville, it's worth dropping by for an afternoon
Top Shelf Establishment! Excellent Brews, Friendly Staff, & Excellent Brews..lol.. Check This Taproom Out!!!
The nut brown ale is tasty, as is the shepherd's pie. Pretty safe bet overall for a good lunch or dinner.
Cassie.....love her!!! atmosphere...GREAT!#! Date...one dark matter
Tasty beer, cool ambiance, great service and I'm from the place with the best beer, Michigan. I'll return here again the next time I'm in Nashville!
Brewery/restaurant in downtown Nashville with an upscale yet cozy atmosphere. Food was very good, as was the beer. I'll visit again.
We stopped by on a Friday and the place was nearly empty, which is a bad sign as everywhere else we went we saw crowds. The lack of customers did not get in the way of lackluster service from bored employees although they are nice enough. Beer was good although selection is lame. I understand the concept of brew and serve but why not have some bottled Craft beers on hand? Seemed a bit snobby: what you see is what you get. Well, what I saw was limited. The lack of customers exaggerated the empty warehouse feel of the place: it is huge inside and lacks atmosphere. Not recommended.
Small brewery doing big things just west of downtown Smashville. Thier Fancy Boy IPA could compete with the best in New England.
Just a special place. Service impeccable, ambiance magical and food prepared to perfection
there's not a lot on the menu, but you're sure to find something. steak and biscuits are great and their basic pinot grigio is tasty. if you get stuck in the room to the left, it definitely lacks the character of the rest of the place, though.
This place is HUGE! The inside can seat hundreds of people, good for us we went during the week for lunch and only about 20 people were inside. This place is on Broadway but not so close to the tourist area, it's a walk but much easier to drive here from downtown Broadway. With ample parking for under 100 cars, so if you go during lunch you should be ok, otherwise you'll have to pay to park somewhere and walk.
Our server Robbyn, was super nice and took great care of us. We ordered the special burger of the day and the fish and chips. The fish was a little greasy but good, so were the fries. The burger was excellent! Really juicy, full of taste. I ordered the Blacken burger with blue cheese, I would recommend getting that!
I didn't try any of the beers but others near us in the restaurant said it was good, so I can't comment on the beers. The slices of cake for dessert are a good size portion and good.
I would visit again as the service and food were good. I don't generally eat burgers but this was a really good one and I would for sure get it again!
I was driving so I didn't get to taste the beer--therefore, I will be back with a well-planned visit to Blackstone the next time I come to Nashville!! The souvenir t-shirt I bought for a friend is really cool & I liked the girl-cut shirts so will get one for myself next time. The staff was awesome--friendly, helpful, etc. Looking forward to the next trip! :-)
The Strawberry Cheesecake is divine, the "Sweet Tooth" blend is lovely, and the Fish & Chips was great! We had excellent service and were very pleased with the experience.
The beer was excellent. My favorites were the Hop Jack IPA and the Nut Brown Ale. The people are also great. We were visiting from out of town, and Kent Taylor gave us an unsolicited tour of the brewing facility and a ride to the restaurant after our Uber dropped us off at the wrong location. Will definitely be visiting again!
Was very surprised that there was a beer for a wine drinker. I love the Mocha Stout.
Also, they have a Food Truck serving yummy Black Stones food. Fresh pretzels baked on the bus and excellent Artichoke Dip, Shepherds Pie, burgers and more.
Check them out, you will not be disappointed.
The Adam Bomb!! What a great IPA. Place was nice had a nice outside seating area service was great, tried a few of the other beers all were good. Did I mention the Adam bomb!
I'm not sure how the beers taste but the service was a horrible disgrace. We sat there at the bar, right in front of two bartenders, who gave us no attention and were busy talking to their friends. After ten minutes we left.
Excellent service, great prices and high quality food. 10/10 would recommend.
Great location with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. With all of the aforementioned space, there is plenty of room to socially distance and enjoy your drinks and foods. The food was also markedly good. I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips and the chicken tenders which had a particularly memorable (and delicious) breading.
Top notch craft brew. I thought out the top rated brewery and the reviews did not disappoint. There's a reason they've been in operation since 1994. I recommend staying light and working up to the dark. Sooooo good!
Huge variety of food, reasonable prices, and the beer is outstanding!
food was pretty good - great house made mustard. nice atmosphere. beer wasn't that good. not an outright assault of the taste buds, just rather bland.
The beer is good, the food not as good. But the service is friendly. I have a really good time. Love the city, and Vanderbilt area feels really safe. I got walking here 10 pm.
Great tour, lots of fun information and good beer. We will be back!
Took 15-20 minutes for drinks to come to the table (mind you no complicated cocktails). We ordered a bottle of wine that they did not open or pour for us. Food came, but no silverware was at the table. We asked two different servers for silverware with no success. We then got up to find it ourselves and asked a server for some and she pointed to the host stand to help ourselves.... Food was okay- mashed potatoes were luke warn. Asked for a side of Mac-n-cheese with the ribs in which it came with French fries to the table and server said "you can't get Mac-n-cheese as a side..." Not a recommended spot to hang out.
Great hospitality, atmosphere, selection of beer, and the beer is very good. They are very passionate about the whole process that goes into their products, in which can be tasted in the beer. If you are in the Nashville area, do yourself a favor and visit Blackstone Brewing.
We had the pretzels and onion straws, both were fresh and delicious. The lemon caper chicken, macaroni and steak and biscuits were much better than what you would expect to find in a brew pub.
We had the Brown and Porter. The Brown was nice and smooth with a nutty slightly smokey finish. The Porter had low burnt/bitterness and a nice clean finish, good first porter for those new to darker beers.
We had great service too!
Food and service great. Decor pretty worn and dated. They have a tree completly blocking the sidewalk must not care about the community.
Very good service and the American Pale Ale is awesome.
Love coming here for date night!! Nothing like a good brew!
Ken and his team have created a wonderful environment to enjoy a great beer. Come experience the rapidly changing Clifton Avenue and one of the best craft brews in the south. Slackline Lager and Nut Brown Ale.....you can't go wrong!
I have sampled well over 600 craft beers without encountering a lineup as uniformly excellent as the brews offered by Blackstone Brewing. Their Taphouse, surrounded by the brewery itself, is a fantastic environment for enjoying their offerings. The friendly, knowledgeable owners and staff add to the pleasure. If you are making your first visit, I strongly suggest starting with a sample flight of eight small pours from their beers on tap; I guarantee you'll find one or more beers you will love.
Very good service, American food with a pub atmosphere and brewing on site. Very accommodating service, including for groups.
I enjoyed the salmon, my colleague's sent his steak back as it was overdone, they apologized on behalf of someone new in the kitchen, and it came out good the second time.
Beer isn't too bad, but there are plenty of other options around that are better.
Great Burgers and Beers. You can catch some really interesting and strange folks there on Sundays, too... 2 for 1's - an Incredible deal!
Good Beer, good food, nice people. They could use some sprucing up, but it's a good place for a gathering. The head count seemed low. Not sure why there is a lack of people.
Great beers and super friendly staff! Cool atmosphere. They also have crowlers!
