I just don't know what to say. My son was sent there from Arvada so, not very close (90 miles away). We were asked to come for a Family Meeting on Sunday. I could not reach my son to see if he needed anything because the phones were messed up for over 24 hours. When we were 30 minutes away my son calls very upset because he had no idea about the family meeting. He stated he had no to little communication about what was happening (he is in his early 20's). The meeting we discussed him going to a dual diagnosis center for further treatment. The therapist did not seem to know very much about how to go about that (IS that not your job!). So, Tuesday (memorial day was monday so could not talk to anyone) I tried to call his therapist that has never called me. Around 1 pm, my son calls and says they are transferring him to fort logan mental state hospital. Upon looking up this place, I found two very recent articles from the Denver Post that the director has left and the staff is over ratio and their is bed bugs and droppings. Oh yes, let's send my so there!!! My son was able to get his Therapist to call me, who really said nothing other than the transfer. He had only called one other place. TERRIBLE. Do not send your loved one to this place. If you have private insurance maybe you are treated better but my opinion (I have seen a lot of places in the last 15 years) this is one of the worst. They are not there to help people nor do they know what they are doing! They do not even deserve one star!
