I was there because a friend of mine needed to pick up some food for her dog and cats. I was also allowed to have food for my pets as well.
I'm going to be honest, because I truly don't know what the protocol is for their Pet Pantry, but I believe that my friend had called ahead of time and was told to come in that day. As I was there, they had asked me about my need for pet food, which I had, because I do live on a fixed income and this had really helped stretch out my budget, by making sure that my pet's nutritional needs were met until my next check.
I didn't have any idea that the CNY-SPCA could provide food at no cost for those who are in need. But, it truly was a huge help.
*** I recommend that you call them first to see what is available for your pet's needs. As I don't know at this time if it's by appointment only or if there are set days they are able to provide food for your cat and/or dog.
