This is Syeeda Hassan. Normally I don't write a negative review but because I have experienced a very rude behavior from Dave Sinclair GMC Buick manager I had to write it. Past Saturday 6th October 2018 I made an inquiry about couple vehicles I was interested in since I am trying to cut down my payments on my car. I am looking for a less expensive vehicle just so I can control my budget. I went to Dave Sinclair GMC Buick St Louis MO on 9/11/2018 to check on a car. It was all good until the manager of the Dave Sinclair GMC Buick used car showed up and started telling me that my car is not worth enough. Looks like he was not in the mood of negotiate. Any way, I kept insisting that the other Dave Sinclair dealership is giving me more for my vehicle and the vehicle I'm interested in to purchase is pretty much the same price like theirs. Well he made some calls and then told me that no one is willing to buy my vehicle for the price I was telling. He was trying to make me look like a liar. I left and the following week they called me told me that they're willing to give me a little more for my vehicle. At that time I was okay with what they were giving me for my vehicle so I put down a deposit of $500 so they can hold that vehicle. You never know what could happen next. I couldn't find a day to go pick up the vehicle I was purchasing because one of our employees was not able to work those weeks. I called back Tom Brown the sale person and told him that I am not able to come and pick up the vehicle because it was important that I go and complete the paperwork since the vehicle I was trading is on my name.
So I asked him to let the vehicle go to someone else and asked for my deposit back that I put down. Sales person was all fine with it and I also told him that I am still in the market for a car. He said whenever I am ready I can call him.
But when I inquired about the vehicle I found that I really liked and then I asked him to ask his manager if he can work with me on this car. After sometime I received a call from the used car sales manager telling me that they don't want to deal with me because I always do that. That I negotiate over a vehicle and never purchase one. I didn't say a single word because I was humiliated because I have never seen such a rude behavior in my life. He could have told me that if I am really interested in the vehicle I have to come to the dealership because he doesn't want to do it over the phone instead of that he said he doesn't want to work with me on anything. How can you say this to a customer who is so loyal to your whole dealership chain that they keep coming back to your dealership again and again.
After purchasing my Honda Accord from Dave Sinclair GMC Buick St Louis, Lincoln mkz and Lincoln mkc from Dave Sinclair South and my Lincoln Navigator from Dave Sinclair Lincoln St Peters. I get this attitude telling me that they don't want to deal with me just because I didn't purchase those vehicles I negotiated over.
How can you purchase something unless you are satisfied.
Anyway it was a long story. But it made me feel so sad and hurt that I don't want to go back to this dealership again ( Dave Sinclair GMC Buick St Louis MO and I will not recommend this particular dealership to my friends and family again. I'm still in the market for a vehicle but I will try other places where they respect their customers.
