The issue I have with this service department is the same that I have with most dealer service departments... all they really want to do is separate you from your money. I take my truck in for an oil change, tire rotation and to check some squeaky brakes (they installed) and they want to do $1600 worth of work, most of which is not needed. Flush the power steering, flush the brakes, clean the carbon in the cylinders... It becomes difficult to decide what is really important and what's just good money after bad. They seem to do things the most expensive way possible and never the easy way. The cleaning and repair work on the brakes cost more than just replacing them. Just to make it worse, now I'm missing a hub cap... I'm certain it was not reinstalled securely, but they are bound to disagree...it's in their DNA. I'll let you know how it goes.

Follow up-A dealer representative contacted me today before I had a chance to stop by after work. She recognized my dissatisfaction and asked what she could do to make up for my experience. I asked that they replace the hubcap and she agreed to that while offering to do some of the other work as well. I declined the additional work and will pick up the replacement hub cap tomorrow afternoon. Like a lot of companies, I think they struggle to be as good as they want to be... it is a competetive world and sometimes employees get the wrong message. But, they did reach out and tried to make amends. Tomorrow when I have hubcap in hand, I'll probably raise their score for the effort.
