It's an amazing place, but not for visitors. Our tour guide was great, but the tour itself was a supreme disappointment. The Atlas "tour" was nothing but a kitschy 3D film in a cramped conference room and looking through the control room windows. The tour of the original accelerator lab was actually quite cool. The gift shop was tiny and the merchandise uninspired.
