I dont understand how some of there houses are bad...

I dont understand how some of there houses are bad looking/ in bad conditions and they have the nerve to do credit check on people and disapprove someone who dont even have bad rental history!! Then they have the nerve to say they houses are "AS IS " me and my boyfriend went to see a house which was not in good condition, windows broke, refrigerator real nasty, blinds broken nd dirty, stove real old nd dirty, windows very old, front porch falling apart but had the nerve to disapprove him !! Like really Home Real Estate... on top of that app fee 40$
