I went to the ER. When I first got there, I was seen and treated immediately. The Doctor and nurse were SUPER! I felt like I was in goods hands; then the shift changed and so did the way I got treated by the new shift's doctor, Dr. Davis Thomas (intern), and the nurse - it was HORRIBLE! They had ice in their veins! Dr, Thomas was inept: The nurse said I was dehydrated, however he said I was not. He failed to do a urine test which would have indicated that In fact I was,, and had a urinary tract infection which could have explained my symptoms. I got a urine test elsewhere, (2) days later. Vanderbilt ER sent me home with my condition as it was when I went into the ER. My discharge papers had misinformation (indicating the wrong issues I came to the ER for) and included a list of clinics for the indigent....Um, I have a private doctor, and insurance which paid a whopping 25K to Vanderbilt last year for surgery to remove my gallbladder. How insulting! This is completely unacceptable to treat the sick in this manner (indigent or not). I am disillusioned from this awful experience and I do not feel welcomed at nor trust Vanderbilt. No one should be made to feel that way by healing professionals.
